Polycom IP Phones – Locating the MAC Address

A MAC address is a unique 12 character identifier assigned to all devices connected to a network. This unique identifier can be used to locate a device within a network, and in the case of some devices such as IP phones can also be used to identify the device to provisioning service so that settings can be applied.

If you need to locate the MAC address for your Polycom IP phone, this can be done in several ways:

Locate the MAC address in the Phone Menu

Locate the MAC address in the Web Interface

Locate the MAC address label on the device

If you don’t have access to the phone menu, or the web interface, you can also find the phone’s MAC address printed on a label on the underside, located near the network sockets. See the image below for an example.
